RED IN TOOTH AND CLAW | 2009

This animation is a 2d video representation of Red in Tooth and Claw, a digital hologram. The hologram was created using Autodesk Maya to model and animate 1280 frames which are then embedded in a diffraction grating within a small thickness of holographic film using red, green, and blue pulsed-lasers. Sublimation is an audio composition created in Supercollider and Common Music programming environments. Primarily, this piece is a study of three synthesis techniques: granular synthesis, subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation. [details]

JANUS | 2006

This piece is a 3d lenticular print with the basic concept of portraying the Roman god Janus, who had two faces pointing in opposite directions. Janus was created using a multi-step process consisting of 24 interlaced frames offset at different increments generating a lenticular image. This image is then attached to a lenticular lens. LURK is an audio/visual installation. The audio was spatialized using a MAX/MSP patch that combines three space coordinates and a frequency to synthesize accurate binaural signals from a monaural source to generate HRTF (Head-related transfer function) sound object localization. [details]
